SR 109 Will Be Closed June 16 thru August

The SR 109 Fish Barrier Removal Project in Grays Harbor County will replace culverts along SR 109 between Hoquiam and Ocean City from Spring 2024 to Fall 2024.

Key closures and detours include:

  1. West of Hoquiam:

    • Starting July 8 at 12:01 a.m., SR 109 at milepost 4.4 will close between Bay Ridge Lane and Valley Road for approximately 21 days.

    • Following this, starting July 8, SR 109 at milepost 6.9 will close between Kessler Lane and Rock View Lane for approximately 33 days.

    • Travelers will detour via US 101, Ocean Beach Road, Grass Creek Road, and Powell Road, with an approximate 20-minute travel time.

  2. Between Ocean City and Seabrook:

    • Starting June 16 at 9 p.m., SR 109 at milepost 27 will close between Cedar Lane and Chauncey Lane for approximately 14 days.

    • Starting July 8 at 12:01 a.m., SR 109 at milepost 24.5 will close between Alderwood Lane and Park Lane for approximately 28 days.

    • Starting July 28 at 9 p.m., SR 109 at milepost 19.4 will close between Pacific Lane and Chabot Road for approximately 30 days.

Signed detours will be provided for each closure. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained throughout the project.
